Get ready for the Wisconsin Regional

To ensure teams can have the best FIRST Wisconsin Regional possible, the main contact for your team has to complete three things as soon as possible.

1. We are still looking for volunteers for the event, especially in the areas of robot inspection and crowd control. If you have experienced team members, parents, or mentors that could volunteer for the event and help us out please have them register in FIRST’s Volunteer System (VIMS) as soon as possible.
2. The FWR will be hosting area VIP's. We need 2 student volunteers per team to act as VIP Tour guides on Friday of the event from approximately 9a-12p. Please send the names of students that will act as VIP tour guides as soon as possible to Ricky Quinones.
3. The team social will be at Discovery World Museum. In order for this event to run smoothly and successfully, we need an accurate count of how many people from your team will be attending the team social, which is free to all teams (students and mentors ONLY). It is truly important that we get an accurate count to ensure we have enough food for 64 teams and allow us to schedule your dinner shifts appropriately. Please email the number of students and mentors that will be attending to info@wisconsinregional.com by 2/29/08.

Hyatt Hotel Contract

The FIRST Wisconsin Regional has contracted with the Hyatt Hotel & Resort - Milwaukee. Teams can reserve rooms for $99 per night. More information can be found on the lodging page or by visiting the Hyatt website.

Wisconsin Kickoff Announced

The kickoff event for the 2008 robotics season will be on January 5, 2008. The event will take place at Waukesha County Technical College. More information on this event can be found on the FIRST website.
